Naomi Awakens~Christmas 07 koh samet

So this entry is dedicated to mokie who got on my case over Christmas break for so rarely updating this thing..so here i am, sitting in my dorm lounge watching the superbowl with a bunch of other people and catching ya'll up. man, there's such hype for the superbowl, a pretty crazy 1st quarter and i have to say the commercials are pretty hilarious...  but that's about it. not enough in the budget for the food and i didn't come early enough~ so just a few chips and teddie grams..

even though this is coming 2 weeks late, i thought i put up some pics from my Christmas break over in Thailand with my famfam. it was so surreal and so much fun being back in bkk for the first time since i graduated, and of course it went by too fast. (but that's always a good sign yeah?).. wish i could've seen youth group people a little more, but i can't be complaining.

Koh Samet!!!... just as i left it. beautimous (pero no waves), deliciousimous comida, L&O, late night cards and it goes on and on. except we missed you Daniel!!! really really.

~~so i don't know how long this blog is going to last me for, maybe a few weeks. we'll see. I hope all you who still have stuck with xanga are doing amazing. catch me up on how you are and where you're at..call me up randomly when you're traveling on a bus or procrastinating or brushing your teeth.. peace out all...

I'm Coming HOme!!...

haven't posted anything in months, but this is definately Post-worthy. finals are just getting in the way right now, so i must jump that hurdle first or else things could get dangerous..

oh man. i get excited though.

yes to street-side food and 7/11s. to public trans and bartering for prices. a semi-yes to exhaust and humidity. heck yes to family and bkk friends! and Christmas, and Koh Samet. oh my heavens.

but yes, focusing on the hurdle and the lack of sleep to come.

Naomi out.

darned bugs

so..i'm sittting under some trees in the grassy lawn outside of my dorm trying to do some work... i'm not really used to doing work outside, with my laptop and all. i'm not really used to grass either-- someone should take a picture of me, i feel like i need to be put on a brochere for Chico(not in any way meant to sound vain). i haven't done any work though, so i guess that's bad advertisement.. there's too many distractions.. like small little bugs (they look like pixels) that crawl up my screen, and the fact that i can be online writing on my xanga right now..strange happenings.

anyways, i just finished my second week of classes here at Chico and i'm still feeling like it's all so surreal... independence again has caught me by surprise, that little stinker.. it's been all fun and exciting i guess, just so tiring at the same time. this is gonna be another stretching year for me in many different areas of my life, but i'm excited and ready for what God has in store for me.

well.. i have details, many of them, but i really ought to do the work that i intended to do while out here on this grassy lawn.. the bugs are getting to me too. i will be back. maybe later. maybe later than later. we'll have to see. for now, love out to you all. come and visit me when you have time (money doesn't matter, because love is stronger. heh) con mucho amor-

Naomi

well, me and my sporadic entries are doing fine and dandy. this summer's been a good one in terms of staying busy and being able to spend time with family. it feels right being with my family again, so it's gonna suck when they leave me in this strange new world-- so foreign and surreal.. but i'll make do.. hopefully.

i thought it was about time to post some pics from this summer for your viewing pleasure..

Yosemite-- family trip of the summer

--- my mom's been set on this trip since me and daniel were youngins (so she says), so we finally fulfilled her desires.. it was beautiful though and it really was a great time to be together in the midsts of all our different transitions (short time of semi-tranquility). it was fun seeing us city-dwellers trying to camp out too.. i don't really know if we can say we "roughed it", but we were sure fed well.

My Uncle David's Wedding!

for us japanese families-- this creates an exuse for a huge family reunion. it actually was fun trying to figure out how i was related to the people i met and the wedding was beautiful too. the last of my mom's 8 siblings has gotten married now..

the gal cousins (-1 baby cousin)

Jumba Juice in all it's glory

--like i warned you-- the bannana suit would come
